Mary, my dearest Mother,

Give me your heart,
so beautiful, so pure, so
Immaculate, so full of Love
and Humility.  That I may
receive Jesus as you did.
And go in haste to give him
to others.
God bless you

"Lessons Learned from the Mental Sufferings of Saint Teresa of Calcutta"
Lessons Learned ...
Source:  www.wau.org (excerpt from Facing Adversity with Grace: Lessons from the Saints by W. Koenig-Bricker)

Dear Lord, the Great Healer,
I kneel before you, since every perfect gift must come from you. I pray, give skill to my hands, clear vision to my mind, kindness and meekness to my heart. Give me singleness of purpose, strength to lift up a part of the burden of my suffering fellow men, and a true realization of the privilege that is mine. Remove from my heart all guile and worldliness, that with the simple faith of a child, I may rely on you. Amen.
(recited daily by MC Sisters and volunteers)

Radiating Christ

Dear Jesus,
help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Your spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Yours.

Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus!

Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others; the light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine: it will be You shining on others through me.

Let me thus praise You in the way You love best: by shining on those around me. Let me preach You without preaching, not by words, but by my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You.

Amen

Do It Anyway

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

On Humility ...

“Humility is the mother of all virtues; purity, charity and obedience. It is in being humble that our love becomes real, devoted and ardent.
If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are.
If you are blamed you will not be discouraged. If they call you a saint you will not put yourself on a pedestal.”
 ~Mother Teresa~
Mother's 15 Rules ...

1. Speak as little as possible about yourself.
